Sensible Questions to ask when booking UK dialysis

Post by JMan »

Do they provide snacks/Food/Tea/Coffee. Its the twilight shift so would expect to bring my own food.

Do I need to bring of the regular items for dialysis such as Heparin, Videne, and own needles.

A good think I queried this, as I'm allergic to Tinzaparin, don't use chloraprep, and most some units don't carry 15g Nipro blunt needles. Might pack some 30 ml syringes as well. The last UK unit I went to weren't familiar with the heparin pump!

Still at least I don't have to bring sodding dialysers!

Yes they'll go through all the tests and data. But not the details. Booked through Freedom UK this time for simplicity! LOL!
