Hello -- I just wanted to pass on information about a simple home procedure to avoid respiratory viral infections such as the coronavirus. Avoiding infections is especially important for people with immune-related kidney conditions like IgAN.
Here's a good article explaining the procedure:
How Grandmother’s Gargling Remedy Could Help Abate The Coronavirus
The actual procedure ('Hypertonic saline nasal irrigation and gargling') is promising because of its simplicity (you can easily do it at home), and because it has solid science behind it (papers published in the journals 'Nature' and 'Journal of Global Health'). Also, there at least two trails are ongoing to test the procedure's effectiveness specifically against the Covid-19 coronavirus (it's already proven effective against non-Covid-19 coronavirus strains).

Re: Nasal irrigation and Gargling for Coronavirus infections
The link above is a public awareness article popularising the nasal irrigation and gargling procedure. Here are links to the published science behind it.
1. A pilot, open labelled, randomised controlled trial of hypertonic saline nasal irrigation and gargling for the common cold (Nature, 2019)

(The paper published in 'Nature' by the lead author of this procedure, Dr. Sundeep Ramalingam)
2. Hypertonic saline nasal irrigation and gargling should be considered as a treatment option for COVID-19
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7193539/
(Reanalysis of the 2019 Nature study data, confirming salt-gargling and nasal-irrigation is effective against coronaviruses).
3. The actual procedure demonstrated by the author of both papers, Dr. Sundeep Ramalingam, with videos
