Hi
My wife was involved in an RTA back in December and as a result of being taken to A&E she was found to have poor kidney function. After various blood tests there has been no improvement but also no further decline. Kidneys are currently functioning at 13%. She is having a biopsy very soon but the specialists are at a loss to explain what the problem is or how to cure her. She has had no symptoms leading up to the accident and doesn’t understand how or why this has happened. She has also had a urine test which has shown that her bladder is completely normal with no infection, another puzzler. Also an early CT scan showed the size of the kidneys to be normal. I don’t expect to get any answers on the forum but would just like to hear people’s thoughts. Are steroids used to treat kidney problems and is it possible for her to recover from this?
Thankyou for reading
