NEWBIE - High Serum Urea test result

Post by Lucky4Sum »

Thanks for adding me.

I have a lot of health problems.

I have an under active thyroid, am vit d and calcium deficient, and borderline b12 deficient but not yet receiving treatment.

On Monday, I had a lot of bloods done.

For the first time, my kidneys have been flagged up and wanted to know.

The test result came back abnormal, that I was above the lab range.

It came back as a result of Serum Urea was abnormal at 8.1 mmol/L and my lab range is 2.5 - 7.8

The other tests including liver and other kidney ones were normal.

Any advice please?

Welcome to the forum.

Possibly, a one-of result but it would be best to ask your doctor, he/she has all the information about you and your condition.
Speculation only leads to unnecessary worry.

If you don't understand the answer given then say so, most doctors would rather you understood your problems, and your treatment.

Best wishes.
