Another interesting BBC item:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-34505242
It might be a bit too far away for us, but maybe for our children?

Wow its amazing. Personally I think stem cell technology is wonderful although I appreciate that a lot of people have different views. Combine that with 3d printers, it's science fiction come true. I think it's a lot closer than for our children. The only thing stopping us from benefiting is the usual - money
Re: New Dialysis Machine
Development and testing would be expensive, but the potential savings must be enormous.

The Quanta's been a while coming. I tested what I think was the prototype model many many years ago.
Only problem with the Beebs report is it makes out like home heamo is a new thing. Serious reporting error there.!

Advances in dialysis seem slow, 3D printing an organ is something that will never happen in my lifetime, if ever.
More education is needed for organ donation to help those able to have a transplant and better dialysis methods for those who can't.
Along with health education it should work together to reduce the numbers requiring dialysis and transplant.
