Re: Hey guys new member Kelly
Hi Kelly Really sorry no ones replied to your post. Isolation is unfortunately not uncommon. Thankfully there's this site and some excellent charities such as Kidney Care UK to offer support in many ways. https://www.kidneycareuk.org/get-support/ Don't be afraid to give em a call as they offer couns...

Re: Coronavirus
Got both the Gov and LA letter a few days ago. I live in a high peak area but low case 'ward'. Still scary. It suggests registering again https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-shielding-support To be honest the 'local help' phonically were OK, my partner who has MS got nothing, and the food parcels were en...

Re: Private messages.
You should be able select a message then you get the options with a dropdown menu
Click on 'Go' then it gives an option to delete the message.
I couldn't find a way to 'select' all.
If your not getting the dropdown menu try a different browser?

Re: Hemodialysis - overheating/outofbreath/sickness
Here we go again. Staff not fully informed/trained/or aware of dialysis side effects, can't or don't give an informed answer to patient, or give a 'fob off one'. There are many things that can give similar effects. Is the machine your on set to 'profiling' sometimes called 'sodium profiling' this is...

Re: Coronavirus
Wow what a thread, haven't logged in for a while. Been instructed to self isolate with my partner from March 13th. And did get a letter from my home heamo team, Food parcels coming in, stuff we don't need we give back to the food bank so nothing wasted, and so the circle goes round. Been attaching t...

Hospital Transport - Suddenly efficient!
A small mixed blessing reported from a friend on heamo in the unit. Now that clinics are cancelled she says she's never been in and out of the unit for dialysis so quickly!

Re: Chester, Liverpool or Manchester Meet Up
Not local, sadly rather down the road. But I'm sure if you post in the KPA forums and arrange your own meetup you might get more interest.
Good luck..

Wasted Medications - Needs to change!
If you take any form of medications, and have ever thrown some away, taken back to chemist to be destroyed, this is the petition for you. The pharmaceutical industry makes enough profit to come up with a solution. https://www.change.org/p/matthew-hancock-mp-stop-the-waste-of-expensive-prescription-m...

Re: Kidney Patient Guide website survey
Defiantly keep the 'basics' of the first website, even if updated (some support charities have changed name etc). The number of times I've shared the animations to friends, staff, etc I've lost count of. So please please find a way to keep them. We dream for the end of Flash, but while it lasts:) Ev...
