Sheila : I am the other side of London, but have been on APD for some 3 years now - am also part of the PD Patient Staff Forum at the WLRC - we have a website that cymonix (Simon) is building at www.pdforum.org.uk.
PM me if you would like contact details for me ... also Andy (Big Buzzard) is another APD-er - so there are plenty of us out there.
Regards, Mandy |

Hi Sheila
Your definitely not alone we are all here to give you any support and advice we can. I am post transplant now (15 months) but I was on APD so please feel free to ask any questions you may have. It would be worth contacting your local KPA and your renal unit who may be put you in touch with others in the same situation as yourself and give you information about any support groups there may be in your area.
Have a look at the NKF site as they have all the KPA's listed to find out how to contact them
http://www.kidney.org.uk/LocalGroups/index.html
Also there is the NKF Helpline which can give you help and advice too
http://www.kidney.org.uk/main/helpline.html
Hope this is of some help
